Chicago Rush Beat Sabercats 70-47
March 4, 2008 1:42 pm Chicago RushHere it is fans – the Chicago Rush 2008 season. Arena football at its best. I was a little apprehensive about the season without Bobby Sippio, but boy, was I wrong.
The home opener was last night and started with their usual exciting intro.
Thanks to our bud Neil, our seats are great. The coach, no not coach Ho, "Da Coach" Mike Ditka is just a few seats behind us.
The Rush came out scoring 14 points quickly, with Sherdrick Bonner throwing a TD with his first pass. It was a pretty sweet start to the game until the Sabercats came back with their own 21 points.
The Rush quickly responded to pull within 3.
Then, in the 4th quarter, the Sabercats fell apart with the Rush clearly dominating them 70-47.
After last night’s performance, I am eagerly anticipating another great year from the Rush. Next week – the Philadephia Soul. Bring it on Bon Jovi…
