The Chicago Rush lost to the Philadelphia Soul today 49-60. As always, the pregame for the Rush is a blast.

However, the game started off poorly with the Soul quickly taking a 13 point lead. The Rush came back quickly and scored a touchdown.

Dan Franz, nails another extra point.
The Chicago Rush must not have any lawyers on staff, because I can’t believe this is even allowed. Fan boxing!!!

OK, so let’s get two fans, give them gigantic boxing gloves and let them pound each other… Awesome. I’m sure when it goes to court, they can use this picture as "People’s Exhibit A".

The Rush tried to rally near the end of the game, but not even Grabowski could get the team in motion

In the end, the Rush couldn’t pull it out.
However, at the end of the game, Bobby Sippio, former Rush receiver (now with the KC Chiefs), showed why I love the AFL. He came back to Chicago and signed autographs for the fans.

Now that’s cool.
The next home game is against the Colorado Crush. Bring it on!
Here it is fans – the Chicago Rush 2008 season. Arena football at its best. I was a little apprehensive about the season without Bobby Sippio, but boy, was I wrong.
The home opener was last night and started with their usual exciting intro.

Thanks to our bud Neil, our seats are great. The coach, no not coach Ho, "Da Coach" Mike Ditka is just a few seats behind us.

The Rush came out scoring 14 points quickly, with Sherdrick Bonner throwing a TD with his first pass. It was a pretty sweet start to the game until the Sabercats came back with their own 21 points.

The Rush quickly responded to pull within 3.

Then, in the 4th quarter, the Sabercats fell apart with the Rush clearly dominating them 70-47.

After last night’s performance, I am eagerly anticipating another great year from the Rush. Next week – the Philadephia Soul. Bring it on Bon Jovi…
The Chicago Rush kick off in:
Go Rush!
The 2008 Arena Football season is almost here. The Chicago Rush kick off March 3rd at 8pm. This will be the 2nd year that we have great season tickets and we’re really looking forward to it. We’ll see if they can pull off a great year even though Bobby Sippio went to the Kansis City Chiefs during the NFL season!
Now that I found our digital camera, you can expect some great pictures!
